1830's Full High Gown by Past Patterns
This is a tissue paper pattern for a complete gown with gigot sleeves and fastening in back. This gown would be worn over a corded petticoat, and would generally have a pelerine across the shoulders. The layout instructions give information on adjusting the pattern to mimic the narrower widths of material available in this time period. Multi-size pattern includes bust sizes 33-41 in one package.

Saundra Altman from Past Patterns has an excellent reputation for historical authenticity in her pattern designs. This Gown is drafted from an original in a museum collection. The original gown was made of printed cotton. This gown could also be made from printed wool or silk. The instructions are detailed and well illustrated.
