1887 Waterfall Overskirt by Truly Victorian
This overskirt is drafted based on an actual garment as seen in a fashion book of the
1880's (Late Bustle Era). The front apron is a long swag, pulled up high onto the hips in
large pleats. The back is in waterfall style (falls down the back in long, straight
pleats) with the tail ends hanging in three points. The closure is in the left side. The
apron is cut on the cross grain. This is a heavy paper pattern with 4 pieces - the
front apron is in 2 pieces which will need taped together. The instructions seem easy to
follow and are well illustrated. There is also a page of trimming suggestions.
This is a multi-sized pattern which includes hip sizes 30-50 and waist sizes 20-40 in
one package. Please see size chart in back cover photo at left.
