1870 Blouse Waist by Truly Victorian
This is a loose fitting blouse, in a style commonly worn as a summer garment from 1870-1872 (Bustle Era). It is perfect for sheer or light weight fabrics, and is unlined and not boned. can be made with a high neck, or open "V" neck with frill. The sleeve is fitted to the elbow with a ruffle headed with a puffing, to give lots of fullness to the wrist. Can be made to tuck in, or with a waistband, both historically correct. Button front closure. The blouse is drafted based on a tailoring method actually used in the 1870's. Each size is hand drawn, not scaled. All of the blouse seams are true to the era, and it is designed to fit snugly over a corset.

This is a heavy paper pattern with 11 pieces. The instructions seem easy to follow, and are well illustrated. There are instructions for sizing your pattern to fit just right for you.

This is a multi-sized pattern which includes bust sizes 30-50 and waist sizes 22-42 in one package. Please see size chart in back cover photo at left.
