1830's Romantic Era Dress by Truly Victorian
This pattern is for a
full Romantic Era dress, designed from fashion plates of 1832. This
style is suitable for the years 1830-1836. Fitting at the point of
the shoulder, this dress can be worn for both day and evening wear,
depending on sleeve choice. The evening sleeve is a pouf Beret
sleeve, and the day sleeve is a full Gigot sleeve with hooks at the
wrist. The bodice reaches to the waist and can be straight around,
or with a shallow point in front. The front and back have gathered
upper sections, over a fitted lining. The bodice can also be made
plain, if desired. A full skirt is attached to the bodice, and is
ankle length. The closure is in the center back, with hooks and
eyes. This is a heavy paper pattern with 9
pieces. The sewing instructions seem easy to follow, and are lightly
illustrated. There are instruction on
how to customize your pattern for a perfect fit, and a page of
suggested trims.
Multi-sized pattern with bust sizes 30-50, and waist sizes 22-42
all in one package.
