I have always, as long as I
can remember, been a HUGE fan of Gone With The Wind. I have just recently (since 2004)
grown a fondness for Civil War Re-enacting. While searching for period Civil War patterns
to make my impression, I have collected some patterns, only to find that some parts of the
clothing piece were not authentic. Soon after, my
passion expanded to include historical fashions of all eras. I now have an extensive
collection of fashion plates, photos of extant garments, portrait photographs and
paintings, as well as reference books.
My intention with this website is to not only offer one
place to purchase all the needed patterns for an impression, but also to inform my
customers about authenticity, so they can avoid the mistakes I made. Of course, I don't
know everything, as I believe nobody does. But my hope is that we can all learn together.
